Craig graduated from Regis High school in 1990, alongside playing & lettering in basketball, football, & baseball while at Regis. Chmelicek played Offensive Lineman on the Regis Football Team. His junior year, Craig kept Kurt Warner protected as quarterback. During his senior year at Regis, Craig was given the honor of 1st team All –Conference in Football. He then continued his education and football career at Coe College.While attending Coe, Craig continued to play Offensive Lineman from 1990-1994. During Craig’s 4 seasons, his team won three Midwest conference championships with a perfect record 10-0 in 93 seasons. His team also advanced to the NCAA Division III playoffs in 1991 & 1993. In 1993 Craig was named to the Champion All-American 1st Team and also the Don Hansen’s Football Gazette 1st Team for NAIA Division III.Craig’s picture hangs in the Eby Fieldhouse at Coe College for his All-American Honor. Craig graduated from Coe College with a Business Degree in 1994, before meeting his wife, Mary Holmes Chmelicek, (Inducted into the Xavier Hall of fame also) while he was at Regis High School. They have 3 children, Haley 1, Molly, & Porter.Craig started his own business in 2006, Elite Home Inspections & Radon Testing and is a Certified ASHI Home Inspector as well as an Iowa Radon Measurement Specialist.
