Bailey is a 2007 graduate of Xavier High School. During her time as a Saint, Bailey was instrumental in the success of both the Xavier’s girls’ soccer and basketball teams. In soccer, Bailey was named 1st Team Elite All-State in 2006 and 2007, in addition to being named 1st Team All-State in 2005, 2006 and 2007. In each of her four years playing at the varsity level, she was named to the All-Tournament Team, 1st Team All-Conference, and 1st Team All-Metro. Bailey helped lead the Saints to state championships in 2003, 2004, and 2006. In addition, the Saints were runners-up in 2005. Bailey was named team captain for two seasons.In basketball, she played a large role in the Saints’ 2004 and 2006 state championship runs. In 2007, she was named 2nd Team All-State and named to the All-Tournament team. That year, she was also was named team captain and Linn County Athlete of the Year.After high school, Bailey attended Drake University where she played Division I soccer and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. During her soccer career there she was a 4 year letter winner, MVC All Conference Honorable Mention Honors in 2010 and 2011, Ranked 10th in the top 20 players to watch in Missouri Valley Conference 2011, Bailey was team captain her senior year and the Recipient of the “Amber Clapp Player’s Award” in 201, as voted on by her teammates.After college, Bailey returned home to Cedar Rapids and started her Financial Advising Career. She moved on to become a licensed Wealth Management Advisor at US Bancorp Investments where she and her partner have their Practice. She also came back to coach the Xavier Girls Soccer Team from 2012 to 2014 before resigning so she could continue her professional career. In 2012 she was an assistant and the girls earned a state title and placed 2nd in the Conference. As Head Coach they earned a State title and placed 1st in the Conference, being semi-Finalist at the 2014 State Tournament. She additionally led the team to a 3rd place finish in the Conference. She volunteered as an assistant coach for the Varsity Girls Basketball team in 2013 and 2014.Bailey would like to thank the Xavier community, teachers, coaches, staff and teammates as this would not have been possible without them. She would also like to thank her parents and family for their support of her athletic career.
