Another year, another successful musical. Damn Yankees was a success opening night, Thursday April 21, that the following shows were sold out. The musical was a hit thanks to the strong cast. Juniors Matt Callanan, Ryan Deignan, Chelsea Zaugg, Laura Fuller, Danny Mulka, and senior Leslie Eichler were cast as lead roles. This Faustian legend featured many hidden talents.
Because this musical centered mainly around a well known baseball team, the Washington Senators, the cast called for a lot of male roles. "I never knew this school had so many talented boys," said English teacher Ms. Liz Sheka. "They were so funny, they all fit the part perfectly."
The show was such a success due in large part to new directors, Mr. Andrew Last and Ms. Theresa Roberts. "Mr. Last made practice so much fun! I couldn't wait to come to play practice every day!" said junior Matt Callanan
