Bill was an active member of the LaSalle Booster Club in the 1970's & 1980's. He was Booster Club President twice (1974 and 1980), secretary once, and led the group that appealed to the School Board to allow the start of the girls' basketball and softball programs. Both programs were financed 100% through Booster Club funds in their first year. With other Booster Club members, Bill helped build the LaSalle softball diamond dug-outs and fence the baseball diamond. Bill also acted as emcee for various LaSalle functions, in particular the events following the Class 2A Football Championships. He emceed the 100 Club for 13 years and served as the Chairman of the Club for 10 years. He headed other LaSalle fundraising projects thru the Booster Club, raising an estimated $30,000 for various projects. He was twice selected as "Honorary Lancer" by coaches and players. Bill also worked the ticket gate for home football games and the concession stand for basketball and other indoor events while serving as a Booster Club member. He served as Associate Chairman for the 1987 Annual Regis-LaSalle Foundation Appeal, served as General Chairman for the 1988 Regis-LaSalle Foundation Appeal. Bill's three children are LaSalle graduates: Scott (L75), Sandra (L76) and Pam (L80).
