Robert Campagna is a 1967 graduate of LaSalle High School. His activities at LaSalle included vocal choir, track, wrestling, and football manager. Bob earned a BA degree in English Education in 1971 from the University of Iowa. Since 1980, he has been self-employed as a photographer, writer, publisher, and teacher. Bob then moved on to become the owner of Abbe Creek Gallery in Mount Vernon. He has created and taught over 250 photography based workshops for youth, adult, college, and community groups in several locations throughout Iowa as well as New Mexico, Colorado, Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, California, New York, Nicaragua and Scotland. Since 1982, Bob has been on the Iowa Arts Council’s roster for Artists in the Schools and Communities projects. He has received two Iowa Press Association photography awards and the Cedar Rapids Area Peace and Justice Network Award. Bob has three children: Charlotte, Dan and Tim.
